To remain an active member of DDC Productions, you must be involved in at least one job per academic year (see “How do I maintain my membership?” for more info). Jobs will be shared with members as the managers accept them from clients. Some semesters may be busier and have many job opportunities, and some may have less opportunities. To be involved in a job, members respond to the managers expressing their interest and “bid” for the job.
Members may be involved in as many or as little jobs as they would like; the time commitment is entirely up to the member.

To join DDC Productions, you need to attend 2 DDC Events and complete a simple application, in which you will indicate the two events you attended, provide a link to a portfolio or some previous work, and share with us your interests and why you would like to join the club.
In order for an event to count towards the application, the applicant must sign in. If a sign in form is not provided, it is the applicant’s responsibility to ask for the sign in form.
A formal portfolio is not needed for the application. You may submit a link to a folder or a singular file. The work can be something you did professionally, for a class, for fun, or anything else; we want to see anything you are proud of and want to share with us!
We do not want a lack of experience to be a barrier to entry. If you do not have a portfolio or previous work to share with us but are interested in the club, don’t hesitate to contact our managers via email: ddcproductionswesleyan@gmail.com

Once you are accepted as a DDC Productions Member, you are a member for the remainder of your time at Wesleyan. However, your membership may fall under one of two categories: Active or Inactive.
To be considered an Active Member, you must be involved in at least one job per academic year (not per semester), and you must also complete the Continued Interest form that the managers will send at the end of each year by the given deadline. If one or both of these requirements are not met, your membership will fall into the Inactive category.
Inactive members will lose access to the DDC Productions WhatsApp Community & G-List through which jobs are shared, as well as will lose equipment checkout privileges. In order to become an Active Member again, the inactive member must reach out to the managers, who will restore access to the main communication channels. Once the member completes one job, their equipment checkout privileges will be restored.
